The project "Live and grow" is a project realized in close collaboration with several youth organizations active in different European countries, including France, Belgium (French and Dutch speaking), Italy and Portugal. These youth organizations accompany young people in precarious situations on a daily basis. They are active in the socio-cultural sector like Matissa, the host association (project leader). All these youth organizations share common values such as equality, openness to others, inclusion, valuing diversity, fighting prejudice, surpassing oneself and self-expression. These values have been "facilitators" to promote communication within the multicultural group and create our group dynamic. This project was able to be carried out successfully between the different stakeholders because of points of convergence, notably in the vision of social work and the practice of different methodologies of non-formal education. Indeed, we succeeded in making sure that each young person could find his or her place within the group, an unconditional component for the young people to have access to learning and to be actively involved in community life and the different workshops. Throughout the artistic and cultural workshops, we were able to observe the interest in the participation of the young people, which was really the "masterpiece" to bring the young people from "living together" to "doing together". For this, the different approaches of non-formal education used and the active pedagogy were essential to accompany the young people in a learning process starting from their own experiences, their own analysis and their interactions with the other participants. Moreover, the free time was also a learning space for the young people. These are spaces where the young people discover themselves, reveal themselves, position themselves in the debates; thus favoring the development of their capacities (speaking, listening and exchange, ...). The supervising staff (socio-educational animators, facilitators, group leaders) succeeded in nourishing the "doing together" by relying on the project charter (foundation) and by stimulating the young participants to express themselves and participate actively. Indeed, the formulation of the charter among the young people was an important step both individually and as a group because "living together" is based on mutual respect, acceptance of difference, cooperation, benevolent attitudes and behaviors, and openness. The wall of skills and the house of emotions, educational tools used during the debriefing moments, were like concrete objects allowing the young people to verbalize more easily the situations and experiences lived during the day. "Inclusion is above all a change of point of view" was a statement made by a youth. As a group, the young participants defined inclusion as "a vision where it is up to the world around a person with a disability and his or her environment to adapt to his or her needs and limitations and not the other way around. It is a change of view that allows not to stigmatize the person with a disability". These exchanges between young European citizens are real "human and social laboratories" that allow them to question and challenge their own "self" made up of mental representations built from their life experiences, their education, and their environment. Finally, in spite of the cancellation of the participation of two partners and the cancellation of the show on the public space (closing event), the coordination of the project was able to adapt and to carry out the organization of this European exchange. The association "Asociatia se poate" (Romania) and the association "Mouvement Hip hop" (France) withdrew from France because of the Covid-19 pandemic (staff restriction).
