By implementing the project, we were aiming to improve the quality of youth work in participating countries and EU in general. We aimed to offer the knowledge, experiences and tools to Youth Workers to improve their professional performance when working with or for our youth. We collected a set of activities, we designed our activities when that needed and prepared extra curriculum activities to achieve our goal, to make an impact on participants' life which will improve their professional way of approaching discrimination. This was achieved by: a) Assigning micro research assignments to participants and gaving them the opportunity to exchange knowledge between themselves. Learning about something by doing your own research was a very effective way to understand it and be able to elaborate the subject with the rest of the team. It had also the advantage that participants had more chances to keep the information in their long-term memory and recall it when needed in their social, personal and professional life. Moreover was a good way to build some common fundamental knowledge to work on during the mobility. b) Non-formal activities. The activities we implemented were including role playing, debates, story telling etc. Those types of activities aim to help participants put themselves in other peoples' shoes, increasing their empathic intelligence. These activities we believed that will help them in their future career with young people, as they will be able to understand better their feelings of inequality/ discrimination/ adverse treatment etc. c) Problem solving activities. This category of activities helped youth workers to think outside the box and come up with ideas and solutions to discrimination issues. This helped them to be more creative during the implementation of the project but also later, in their social, personal and professional life. d) Further work. We encouraged participants to come up with their own projects, regional or national, on discrimination issues that piqued their interest the most. As described in other sections of the application, partner organizations are ready to provide the participants the resources needed to implement the project and enhance their activities regarding discrimination. Partner organizations will help each and every participant who would like to continue further with another project and/or activity, regardless how small or big.
