The tempo is high and the culture increasingly individualistic, so young people without safe networks are at risk to be marginalized and tend to play a passive role in their communities. Active citizenship and participation are not just slogans but key concepts to build an inclusive society. Project focuses on active youth participation and nonviolent activism. The Project will approach principles and practices of nonviolent change processes we bring together young people in order to gather and design nonviolent campaigns for creating accessible and inclusive participatory processes in their communities. Considering objectives of the project participants will be informed about key elements of active citizenship and how to use their competences to be involved in decision making process. Our society's needs young motivated people who will take responsibilities, identify problems and needs of their community, think about its solutions, act and bring changes. When one talks about participation, one assumes that vulnerable youth is not active. Their contribution to society ends up denied or invisible. However, we believe that vulnerable youth has a lot of potential. We observed among our communities, that they are incubators of initiatives and change for more inclusive societies. Through this project, we want to bring different layers of society together to claim that youth participation is real, effective and promising. One of our focus is that participation does not only mean the act of voting, but there are many different ways to participate actively in local communities. These alternatives are also the reasons why sometimes youth participation is not recognized; thus we will allocate time to define what participation means, in which ways it can be achieved and how to advocate for it.We will show that vulnerable youth needs to be taken seriously into account in EU politics by bringing our participants closer to the European institutions in our finale activity.
