We see how right now all people and organisations to some extent suffer from the Covid-19 circumstances - emotionally, physically and financially. We recognize the need of youth workers to have tools and methods to improve communication and expression in their surroundings and in youth work and change the narrative from negative, tense and polar to focusing on safe expression of needs and emotions, real facts, possibilities and making new arrangements, new ideas and new solutions in local youth work, but also in personal life of their clients. Our project´s purpose is to offer the effective method of non-violent or also called compassionate communication developed by Marshall Rosenberg for people who deal with groups of people and can use it in further and wide spread practice. The members of our organizations have frequently experienced how aggression and disconnection win during wars/conflicts as people are fed by hostility and violence, and recently they are experiencing insecurity, tensions and anger connected to Covid-19 situation and isolation and conflicts that it created among family/work members or generally in society. The communication we want to grow through this project is based on understanding other´ s needs and expressing ones own. It was applied during many conflict events and zones and we believe that now people living in Europe and neighboring countries really need to learn skills in empathy and communication. Our desire is to fix the dialog in places where it is clearly not bringing peace and connection (such as Greece in terms of refugees or Ukraine with its war conflict) and to spread the ideas and techniques which has been proven to work in very critical relationships. OBJECTIVES - to train approaches and techniques of Non-Violent Communication (NVC) on how to manage crisis such as (post) pandemic conditions, resolve conflicts and build bridges for society members; - to support educators, youth workers, NGO workers etc in finding solutions for the issues they see around them, by discovering the potential they have in bringing the change through NVC; - to train attitudes from the different European and Neighboring countries towards the peaceful and full of compassion dialog; - to develop skills at the level of promoting solution oriented approach and living together in peace, hate-free; -to use NVC directly in communities and work place in follow up; -to bring change into organizations and education centers through changed and non-violent approach in communication of their workers. The link with Erasmus + objectives is mainly in increasing tolerance and peace in society, improving participant´ s personal development and compassionate thinking, enhance their language competence, raise their awareness of social issues and possible solutions in conflict situations. This key action is focused on mobilities and education of youth, which both are important pillars of our project, as at least one third of our participants will be for the first time abroad and the training course that we designed is purely non-formal education. This project was born particularly to give a learning space for people working with people, so that they can experience what being proactive in communication means and how they can use differences for the benefit of everybody involved via the method based on compassion.
