Our youth exchange project will bring together 21 youngsters from 3 European countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria) with the basic interest in the rural life and especially in conservation of old landraces of fruit trees. Our youth exchange wants to support participants interest in the topic also by giving the examples of the good practice, from the partner organizations as well as the local successful enterprises. The special stress is on a hands-on method of field mapping where participants can learn how to make a sample and record it and how to determinate the variety. Later on, the participants will use the collected data for preparation of a poster for the local people about varieties which are typical for the region where the exchange will take the place. These posters will be presented on the public event, which will take place at the end of the youth exchange, where the public could also taste the local specialities and locally-fruit-based products. One of the goals of the event is also empowering the youth as well as public towards the sustainable locally-based agriculture of short circuits with low impact on the ecosystem. Besides the biological diversity, we are also aiming at strengthening the diversity cultural, while implementing the actvities with participants from threee countries which are sharing the similar culture as well as history, but due to the nationalist movements of 19th and 20th century are nowadays facing many biases mainly based on a language differences.
