The project was inspired by several members of our and the partner organization. They noticed that there is a lack of a standardization of the terminology used while working with people with disability. At the beginning we decided to focus on a project where the main aim will be discuss the terminology we used when we work on a international and national projects for people with disability. The idea of the project was to develop skills in creating stories, reviews, essays, workshops, videos, presentations and informational campaign for promoting acceptance, politically sensitive and inclusive speech regarding PWD subjects, using agreed upon terminology. Terminology that everyone will feel comfortable reading and spreading. We wanted to raise the awareness to youth workers and trainers for the importance of standardizing the terminology used while working with people with disability and how this knowledge can be implemented in practical youth work. Another important objective we wanted to achieve was to encourage young people’s to get an active participation in society, and especially to empower youth with a disability to take an active role in their communities in fighting discrimination. Training was held using non-formal education methodology. The project had a strong impact on its participants but also local communities, partner organizations and other stakeholders interested I topic of activation the people with disability trough using the right language. Trough this several other objectives were tackled like raising awareness of the key competencies and develop different methods that can be used in practice within the sensitive terminology activities and gaining more knowledge and developing new skills regarding discrimination, prejudice, stereotypes of the PWD community All those objectives were closely related with the Erasmus objectives to foster quality improvements, innovation excellence and internationalization at the level of education and training institutions.
