Objectives

Love, relationships and sexuality are important topics in the lives of young people in particular and at the same time inseparable from the values and principles of democratic societies. The way relationships are lived is one of the factors that determine how gender relations are shaped - from the distribution of roles in caring for each other, one's own children and others to being affected by domestic violence - and cultural gender images, for their part, massively influence the extent of freedom experienced in the actual shaping of one's own (love) life, when female sexuality is culturally strongly regulated and heterosexuality and male dominance behaviour are still considered the norm. In this sense, the discussion of the topics of love, relationships and sexuality was to be brought out of the 'private' and once again become the subject of educational and discourse offers. The aim here was above all to show the manifold connections between society ('the political') and the personal reality of life in an exemplary way and to make society in such a comprehensive sense something that is shaped and can be shaped in a very concrete way. I.e. it was aimed at: - the participants work out together which connections there are between the topic of love and politics - They discuss why love has become and can become a topic of social movements. - they reflect together on their own needs, ideas and values as well as their differences - they deal with their own social utopias in the context of historical and contemporary political visions - building on this, they reflect on their own possibilities of shaping society and design their own utopias and creatively implement initial visions or creative forms of expressing opinions in order to address their own needs and wishes
