The aim of this project was to learn how to understand the phenomenon of transnational organised crime, to unravel its modes of operation and structures, and to dismantle distorted false ideas. To this end, we sought to identify ways in which civil society can effectively counter the impact of criminal organisations through the experience of civic engagement and to discover the means and tools available at national and European level. By supporting the work of social cooperatives and experiencing the realities of the Sicilian region, we learned about concrete examples of best practices and at the same time gained more knowledge about the history of citizens' movements against organised crime. Finally, through the use of theatrical work, we reflected on the acquired knowledge and experiences and produced an innovative narrative format to raise greater awareness on this issue.
