Objectives

The submitted project was planned as the continuation of the international youth exchange "PARTI (cipation) FOR FUTURE! of the sportsyouth Saxony-Anhalt. Through the training of the participants, the handling of democratic participation, autonomy promotion of young people and the identification of their own social spheres for children and young people in the partner organizations, was aimed to be improved. We hoped that through the implementation of the projects that were designed during the training, to improve the situation particularly in rural areas, some of which are structurally weak areas. Although we do not envisage that such a training measure will significantly increase the participation of young people in the public sphere, we do hope that it will lead to an improvement in the quality of life in these areas. It is conceivable, for example, that the presentation of projects that have already been implemented and the spaces created for young people (e.g. youth centers), can be transferred to the target group. In this way the methods and projects were supposed be implemented sustainably in the facilities. Through the workshops during the training, flyers and information sheets should be developed and these materials should be distributed in the participating facilities. These materials could then be published on the Internet so that the information can be disseminated beyond the facilities. With "Involving Youth" we would like to carry out a professional training, which will broaden the knowledge of the participants with regard to the different spaces and possibilities of youth participation and possibilities of young people's participation. Thereby, our main objective and the main goal of the mobility measure was to improve the quality development in youth work and in the following Erasmus+ projects. The thematic orientation of the professional training was aligned within the Youth Goals. We intended to intensively deal with the 9th Youth Goal - "spaces and participation for all." Through lectures, workshops, practical sessions and field trips, we wanted to interactively explore ways of democratic participation and autonomy promotion of young people. Individual contents, in accordance with our basic orientation of fun under the benefit of movement, will be tried out in sports and critically questioned with regard to the promotion of democracy and autonomy of young people. Furthermore, the project was designed to consider formats to design activities in such a way that young people can profit sustainably from them and that their own social youth areas can emerge. In several workshops we wanted to address the topic of different "youth spaces" and approach them in different ways. We planned to orientate ourselves on the results of the youth encounter in the summer and use them (among others virtual space-art projects like photography and "geo-painting" or handicraft and sports approaches). Through individual thematic designs and at the same time a broad spectrum of possible interests, we planned to approach to a heterogeneous group of experts. The improvements in specific competencies aimed for during the project: the learning competence, social and civic competence, as well as the increased development of cultural awareness and initiative are also to be addressed in the context of the specialist training. In the context of youth work methods are to be worked on to trigger these competencies. This was designed to be done in the form of workshops, interactive nationality evenings, various sports workshops and movement, as well as different excursions. Methodically the workshops and activities were designed to promote confidence, self-esteem, creativity and the ability to work in a team. Through the inductive approach, we enable the professionals to actively involve themselves actively participate, exchange ideas with other youth workers about relevant topics and discuss them interculturally. In addition to the transfer of knowledge, it was particularly important to us that the participants could actively share their experience, to develop projects that could actually be implemented or planned further in the individual countries and organizations. In this way, we would like to support the active role of young people in decisionmaking on a national and on a global level and to stand up for their values. Furthermore, the specialists learn to communicate in different situations in a foreign language, express themselves and thereby improve their self-confidence when speaking in a foreign language too.
