Objectives

During the exchange in Germany in February 2020., a NaturKultur volunteer organized a cleaning action one afternoon, we took several bags for trash and went for a walk, he showed us the forest near our venue and we collected the trash on the way. He was also talking about Solidarity project that he wants to apply that would be focused on environment protection and it would be combination between geocatching and cleaning different parks and forest. We really enjoyed this cleaning action and it was the best spent free time during the whole exchange. We couldn't stop talking about the walk until the end of the exchange. Also, during the open space, Spanish group leader offered a short workshop about permaculture, explaining what it is and showing his permaculture project that he is doing in Spain. It was something new for most of the people and it looked amazing. On the last day of the exchange, we had the task to make a groups according to our interest and work on writing Erasmus+ exchange on which we would love to participate or organize it. It was easy decision for us to team up and we decided to focus on the topics of environment protection and using permaculture to ensure the sustainability and reduce the pollution of our planet. The main challenge/burning issue that we want to address with this project is: Youth in Europe are not aware about importance of environment protection, or they don't know what they can do to improve the situation. The main aim of the project is: Raising awareness about environment protection and role of the youth in it. Goals of our project are: 1. To teach young people from 7 countries about the concept of permaculture and how it si connected with the sustainability 2. To show how permaculture can be used for youth activism and making a chnage with the focus on environment protection. 3. To give tools to youth from 7 different countries, empowering them to make the change in their local community. 4. To share with 43 young people and group leaders how permaculture can help us produce less waste and use of our resources in a better way, helping them share this results with their peers and other youth from their local communities. 5. To create safe space where youth can learn from each other, try something new and share their culture and values with others.
