Objectives

We wanted to implement this project, because of several reasons: Human Rights Education is definitely something that we need to work on constantly, since we daily witness violation of Human Rights in different areas, discrimination and radicalization of young people. The needs of our partners for creative and innovative tools and methods for Human Rights Education on an international level, as well as with the local community is another reason. Also based on the goals that we set on the National Network meeting “Youth for Human Rights” organized by JfE, we confirmed that Human Rights Education is a topic that we need to actively focus our youth work on. With this project we wanted to equip youth workers, teachers and educators with different tools and methods for Human Rights Education, which will help them strategically in their international and local activities back home. With this we wanted to increase the capacities of the organizations working on the topic. We also wanted to test different methods, as well as to produce new workshops, that in our case were created by participants on the spot. Also through our materials we wanted to raise awareness about the importance of Human Rights Education and contribute to the goals of the National Human Rights Education Network. The objectives of the projects were: - raising awareness, understanding; improving attitudes and behaviors regarding violation of human rights and Human Rights Education - exploring different types of discrimination and their roots vs the role of youth work in combating discrimination - exchange of good practices, creative tools and methods for combating discrimination and implementing them on local level As a specific objective of this project we set: - exploring effective strategy for inclusion on an international and local level
