This project was developed to strengthen European encounters according to the EU youth strategy, to advance the inclusion of young people with disabilities and to initiate European processes of mutual learning (peer learning). Another goal should be to enable young people with and without disabilities to share cross-border learning experiences. In accordance with these goals, 11 people with disabilities and 18 staff members from the participating organisations from 7 different European countries came together in Oberursel for a seminar to jointly develop curricula for competence training and at the same time to become multipliers for the respective area of expertise. The basis for this was the STELLA handbook, which was produced as part of an ERASMUS+ project of the same name that was completed in 2019 and is intended to help strengthen people with disabilities in various skills. The participants with and without disabilities developed a new form of multiplicator training in order to multiply the handbook in a suitable form. The learning content of the manual was trained during the competence seminar in the form of workshops and disseminated accordingly in the partner countries. In our experience, the handbook was not sufficient to disseminate the learning content to promote participation skills across the board. The people with disabilities who took part in the previous STELLA project have developed and expanded their skills in the areas of organizational skills, social skills, teamwork, analytical thinking, communication skills and technical skills over the two years of the project. The competence seminar dealt with the question of how even more people with disabilities can be enabled to acquire these competences and use them primarily for their professional, but also social and societal inclusion, to support and emphasize their talents and abilities. The aim of the inclusive competence seminar was to enable young people with disabilities to develop themselves further and to train them as seminar leaders so that they can form an equal tandem with a person without disabilities on an equal footing.
