The idea of the project was to raise young people´s awareness of diversity by providing them with the experience of learning together from the past, reflecting on the present and designing the future. The participants were invited to explore how situations with diversity, attitudes towards it, perception of “others” and social practices of inclusion and discrimination had been developed since the 1930-s till today, how the past and memory influenced our identity and today´s situation and what should be done for better future. We aimed at promoting diversity through a better understanding of how our personal concerns and fears in society have been formed and which role hate speech and manipulation of information had played in it as well as through raising the ability to recognise discriminative behavior and to take actions for diversity. By implementing this project we desired to help young people to be active citizens, who share European values and aware and conscious of current social issues.
