Objectives

The education sector and in particular non-formal education are core fields of CSO and youth workers’ activity. There is huge expertise gathered by trainers and youth workers operating in this field to contribute to the rise of competencies of the members of our communities as well as community development in general. Although NGOs and other CSOs have a lot of potential in the aforementioned field, we understand that the training products they offer, often operate in a highly competitive information field, where the commercial training companies use the most high-end and up-to-date strategies for marketing and sales, product design, and delivery. At the same time, the European Commission and various other big players have announced the priority of social entrepreneurship and social impact investment as tools for finding sustainable and ethical solutions for the contemporary social needs of our societies. We have aimed to be able to use this momentum and merge the huge expertise gathered by CSOs with efficient social entrepreneurial skills. We offered this Training course, which operated as an incubator for educational social enterprises and stand-alone educational products. Together we explored the contemporary business planning and delivery tools and strategies and developed sustainable business solutions to improve the quality of life of our communities. The specific objectives of the Training Course were as follows: To create a dynamic learning environment with the support of trainers experienced in social entrepreneurship promotion both in the national and international sphere To develop marketable and valuable educational products To analyze the A to Z business planning process for educational products using specific tools customized for the social enterprise nature of CSO activities To reflect upon the current marketing and sales strategies using the social media platforms and critically assess both advantages and ethical consideration of their efficient use for promoting the developed products To analyze together the general trends of development and opportunities of the world educational products market, exploring both face-to-face and e-learning solutions To develop competencies of the participants in planning, designing, marketing, and assessing educational products and selling them as social enterprise activities To develop follow-up projects for international cooperation to further elaborate on the topics of the current Training Course and involve more participants in the social enterprise processes.
