Objectives

ENTERPRISING YOUNG shape their FUTURE already TODAY was an international youth exchange, a cooperation project between Estonia, Turkey and Spain. It was developed by Estonian youth in communication with youth leaders of other countries and through them with youth. Implemented by young people, under the guidance and support of youth leaders. For the first time, young people expressed their interest in the topic of entrepreneurship at the 2019 youth exchange, when they summarized civic activity and discussed follow-up activities. At the active meeting of the youth center, the manager of the mini-company "MÄNGIME KOOS" proposed to prepare a project through which young people could gain knowledge about entrepreneurship education. This is in both formal and non-formal education. An interest group of 3 members was formed in the youth centre. The young people who initiated the project were interested in how it is organized in Estonia and other countries in order to learn, gain experience and compare what our possibilities are. They were joined by 12 other young people who are interested in youth entrepreneurship and - companies here and elsewhere in Europe. The topic of ENTREPRENEURSHIP, which is important for young people, was discussed, because among their peers, young people do not have much knowledge about entrepreneurship and opportunities for developing entrepreneurship. New knowledge was gained and social skills were developed. Answers were found to the questions of how entrepreneurship education takes place in different countries, how enterprising young people are, what youth companies are there in partner countries, what motivates young people to plan their future and move towards their dreams? Young people learned more about entrepreneurship education and opportunities in three countries: Estonia, Turkey and Spain. Goals: 1. Participating young people (24) have gained new knowledge and experience about entrepreneurship and different business opportunities in three countries located in different parts of Europe and with different cultural backgrounds; entrepreneurship education in schools, youth entrepreneurship opportunities, youth companies. They know personality traits better in the context of entrepreneurship and know how to start a (student) company and make it work. Young people's horizons are wider, they actively participate in spreading the results of the project to their peers: in schools and youth centers of the municipality, - in rooms. Entrepreneurship is developed and at least one youth company is created. During the project, video clips and products introducing the student companies will be produced. 2. 3 6-day meetings have been held in Türi, Estonia, Konya, Turkey and LaHoya, Spain. 24 young people and 6 youth leaders will participate. Intercultural learning and exchange of experiences have taken place during the meetings: motivating and involving young people. Young people apply the knowledge and practical skills acquired during the project in their personal lives. 3. 3 events have been held where young people introduce the (mini) company created during the project and, if possible, offer their service or product. This is a marketing and sales job. Community residents (including a wider circle of children, young people, families, elderly) gain knowledge and experiences from this public event. Young people can use modern advertising channels and methods and do sales work. 4. Young people can notice and reflect on learning in non-formal education and self-reflection using the example of the youth passport. At least 24 (30) youth passports have been issued as documents proving non-formal learning. 5. Participating organizations are more in the media's field of view, and the entire project planning and implementation process enriches and adds value to local youth work The realization of the goals was based on the methods and principles of non-formal learning. To this end, interactive workshops, group work, games, excursions to institutions and schools, meetings with people who, thanks to their efforts, have achieved a goal and a place in life, successful company managers were conducted. The project's activities are structured so that young people can gain knowledge, gain experience through practice, discover and experiment; know and know your cooperation partners. The opportunities for entrepreneurship education in general education schools and companies created by young people in different countries will be introduced. An important place was the cultural program: activities introducing the country, language, culture and customs (excursions, hikes, meetings, practical activities: cooking, volunteer work). Cross-cultural learning took place. Young people wanted to carry out this project in order to find ways and opportunities to shape their future, achieve a more fulfilling life, and develop social skills. Find an answer to the question of how to prevent social exclusion, unemployment in the future. A multifaceted young person who actively participates in working life, who has a broad horizon, has a lower risk of being excluded from the labor market in the future. This project was directly related to the goals of the Erasmus+ program. Development of key competences of young people. Recognition of non-formal learning: youth passports. Intercultural exchange of experiences, learning. Increasing youth engagement. Strengthening international youth work.
