The project gathered 36 participants aged 18-30 who shared and extended their knowledge and skills and acquired new competencies regarding a healthy lifestyle and social inclusion. Each partner was responsible for selecting 5 participants plus one group leader following the agreed criteria (to be reliable, have an interest in intercultural education and lifelong learning, be highly motivated and have a minimum conversational level of English). Three people were facing cultural obstacles on the project, four facing economic barriers, 2twopeople with fewer opportunities facing educational difficulties, 3 met geographical barriers, and 3 facing social barriers. Therefore, 15 people with fewer opportunities participated in this Youth Exchange. They gained a lot through the learning experience and active involvement, both personally and professionally. In addition, the project focused on gender balance and included 17 male and 19 female participants. The age structure was diverse. We had 4 participants aged 17, 27 of them were 18-25, and 3 of them were 26-30. Two persons were over 30 years old. We had 11 people who had no previous experience in Erasmus+ projects. Used methods were non-formal and informal, encouraging identification with the project's content and maximising the learning effect. The Youth Exchange included role-plays, simulations, small and big group discussions, and other non-formal education methods, which encouraged high participation levels. A dynamic atmosphere was structured to elicit and enrich participants’ knowledge about sports, physical activity, healthy eating, living, and acting, following social inclusion practices.
To enable young people to explore the concept of a healthy lifestyle. To discuss nutrition, physical activity, and social exclusion issues and share good practices while using sport as a tool for inclusion. - To offer opportunities a chance to improve their physical and health competencies in theory and practice. - To empower young people to multiply knowledge, skills, and attitudes gained throughout youth exchange, within their local community, by spreading the outputs (Calendar, project video, press releases, photos, future domestic and international projects, new inclusive games); - To promote Erasmus+ and non-formal education as a support tool for health education. - To raise participants' awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries, offering them the opportunity to build networks of international contacts, participate in social activities and develop a sense of European citizenship and identity.
