Objectives

Our project, as its title suggests, negotiated gender equality in the workplace. The title is "GENDERIZED" which means being discriminated against on the basis of one's gender. Gender equality is an international issue of the modern reality, and even more so when it comes to the workplace. Women, ought to be represented and heard more especially in the positions of politics and the taking of serious measures while at the same time it becomes an undeniable need to break down the stereotypes (mainly of a sexist nature) regarding professions. Our exchange was organized in the week close to the International Day of the Girl Child (11/10), that is, our exchange took place between 6-12 October 2021. Finally, we would like to emphasize that the implementation of this project was particularly important for the active guarantee of equality, as the young people who participated in a few years will be in positions of influence and in general will pass on to their counterparts, in their local communities, the need for equal and fair treatment of women in the workplace. Young people are the key to changing attitudes in Europe, in a Europe where, despite the recognition and proclamation of equality and freedom between the sexes, conservative and provincial views are flourishing and characterising a multitude of states and citizens. Equality between men and women is one of the core values established by the European Union. The EU's success in promoting equality between men and women has helped to change the lives of many European citizens for the better. Although some inequalities still exist, the EU has made remarkable progress in recent decades. Some encouraging facts that support this view are the increased number of women in work and the progress made by women in education and in living conditions. However, there are still significant 'gaps' in the labour market between racial differences, women still represent large proportions of workers who are paid low wages and are represented in extremely low proportions in senior, decision-making positions. This programme raised awareness among the participants on gender discrimination issues and had the effect of breaking down stereotypes and instilling in the participants the need to fight for gender equality. By the programme we achieved the following: -A gradual change in attitudes and thus ensuring equal rights and benefits for men and women. -Reversal of the regimes and labour treatment of men and women in EU countries and Turkey. -Developing the intellectual horizons of the participants after they have broken down possible stereotypes and misconceptions. -Interacting with other people from other European countries by understanding the importance of European diversity and unity. -Developing their critical thinking as through dialogue and presentations, as a method of training, they trained their minds and their ability to express themselves.
