The Youth Association for Culture and Minorities - YWAM is an organization composed mainly of people of migrant origin, who have settled in Spain for 3 generations. And we often organize meetings with this public to value their cultural and social approach. With our Organization, we intend to put our weight to mark and value our differences. Raising the question of the existence of one or several "Europes" may seem strange, but European identity is complex. First of all, we can question the geographical unity of the continent, its borders, its living environments. The debate also exists at the level of populations: despite common features, shared heritages, politics and culture, Europe is also very diverse. The construction of a European Union embodies the will to build a united community. This is why the motto adopted by the EU is emblematic: "unity in diversity". This motto is the source of several debates in our structure, in particular with the current issues taken up by a certain political class which wants to divide Europe and desires its cultural homogeneity. We wanted to continue this debate with our partners within the framework of this youth exchange project and to contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of young people within the framework of this youth exchange project and to bring this theme of diversity back to the heart of the European reality. The objectives pursued during this exchange were as follows - To discuss with young people on the themes of diversity and intercultural learning with music and dance as a gateway (in complementarity) in different forms. - Encourage exchanges between young people from different social and cultural backgrounds. - Encourage the expression of young people by developing the practice of music and dance or other physical expressions. - Create communication tools to transform the image of neighborhoods and their inhabitants in difficult areas. - Enrich the diversity and contribution of migrant populations. - Create tools to fight racism and discrimination. - Exchange and share through dance and other bodily expressions with the aim of multiplying or empowering peers. During the week-long project, we worked together on the themes of cultural diversity and interculturality in different workshops, but also in an informal setting. In terms of musical expression, we worked on singing, the use of musical instruments and dance. Different forms of physical expression were also encouraged. They allowed us to have physical contact between the young people and to get to know each other's culture. The participants are between 18 and 25 years old and come from 5 countries. The exchange took place from September 21 to October 1, 2021 in Barcelona, Spain.
