This last year has been a decisive year for the planet, since we have noticed more than ever the consequences of climate change in the form of unusual increases in temperatures, very serious looses of ecosystems, unprecedented fires in cities and a long etcetera. It has also been a year in which young people have begun to raise their voices to make themselves heard by governments, since according to current predictions, they will suffer the most serious consequences that climate change will bring. Led by the small activist Greta Thunberg, they have staged several demonstrations and initiatives with the aim of saving planet Earth from devastation. That is why we believe that it is time to act, and this action must begin with young people, since they will be the adults of the future and the true protagonists of these events. For all of the above, the main objectives of this project are: - Knowledge and awareness of the current environmental situation at the global and regional level and of the environmental policies in the different countries. - Encourage reflection on what we can do as individuals to preserve the planet and the motivation to carry out these actions. - Promote values of respect for the environment through the care and cleaning of natural spaces. - Reflect on waste treatment and its impact on the environment and incorporate habits that reduce our ecological footprint. - Reflect on current consumption habits and search for options for a more sustainable consumption - Reflect on the impact of our diet on the environment and seek for solutions. - Increase the participation of young people in European problems such as the environmental crisis and promote a more interested, committed and active citizenship.
