Objectives

Due to the potential that many countries have identified in recent years in rural areas, even in some way as a solution to some socio-economic problems caused by urban-centric growth, we believe that this is the best time to empower younger generations. Giving them the knowledge, inspiration, understanding and experiences necessary to identify their own motivations, connect with their entrepreneurial spirit and their need to start a meaningful project to make the most of their rural regions. This has been a project with a social, environmental, personal and economic development. The main objective of this youth exchange has focused on working on the collective and personal skills of the participants, motivating them, making them witnesses of the potential and progressive regeneration of rural regions. Nowadays, it is essential to be aware of its ability to solve social and environmental problems, such as unemployment, offer solutions to the rapid increase in urban incomes and improve care for the environment, by getting closer to nature. In short, using this invaluable resource to provide a solution to many of the problems that affect us and many citizens around the world today. Ultimately, we have sought to put our minds together and discover how we can plan a rural structure that guarantees a more equal and inclusive development for all people. To this end, this project has had the structure of an atypical training program to involve young people from the European Union in discovering new ways of giving life to rural spaces, always based on the principles of sustainability (in relation not only with the environment but also with economic and social parameters), innovation and food sovereignty. The main objectives of this project have been: - To learn more about rural reality, problems and opportunities; - To get involved with the local community and contribute to improving their spaces; - To identify rural spaces as places for creativity, business opportunities and innovation; - To start a debate on the preservation of nature and climate change. Food sovereignty, fair labor prices for agriculture and local production; - To create an environment where all participants can collaborate equally and actively collaborate; - To maintain a collaborative and non-competitive attitude throughout the development of the exchange, creating a culture of "common knowledge" where we all add ideas; - To involve young people in all the possibilities offered by the rural context to solve many of our economic, social and environmental problems; - To link young people with nature, rural inhabitants and culture and traditions in a participatory, interactive, intergenerational way and uniting the use of technology in rural spaces; - To connect with other active rural communities (online or regional) who want to get involved or want to apply our projects in their areas to test them locally; - To learn more about the opportunities that the European Union can offer to rural economies in each country and thus have useful resources for their future; - To be inspired and motivated by various rural actors with different backgrounds and from various areas that could help us explore new ideas and solutions; - To share our knowledge, ideas and creations with the world to spread the conviction that the future is rural!
