Objectives

The main achievements gained by running this training seminar are captured by - An urge to capitalize on the Intellectual Outputs from a previous KA2 project (SCIPP), transformed into a KA1 training seminar for youth workers and youth leaders, thereby expanding scope and outreach of the Community Learning Incubator Programme for Sustainability (CLIPS) methodology. - The need to build the capacity of participating organisations to assist youth groups to initiate projects that can grow, succeed and thrive, through tools that can create such pathways. The context for the project is the framework developed for the improvement of groups and organisations, called CLIPS, which includes a guide in which group processes, their challenges and a selection of corresponding insights and tools are described; thereby collecting 30 years of experiences in various ecovillages from European countries. This material has proven very useful in the former KA2 partner countries, therefore the training format KA1 is proposed, to train youth workers and youth leaders, for the material to become useful in different types of organisations and countries, with a special focus on youth as a main target group. The objectives for this project are therefore: - to transfer and transform the best from the ecovillage tradition to new initiatives, assisting them to grow and help them to thrive, through a training seminar where participants improve skills in their work with youth groups, using the CLIPS methodology as a pathway. - the CLIPS program becomes known to more people and organisations, thereby expanding its scope and outreach. The above objectives are based on capacity building within the human skills, with CLIPS methods offering a pathway on how to navigate in the I/WE dichotomy, how to run community building processes, set solid intentions and establish structures, that all lead to stronger and more sustainable communities of practice
