We are on a moment when the refugee crisis in the UE is growing and societies are not facing the issue accordingly, mass media is turning the the other way or giving an altered and dehumanize perspective. As an active members of civil society we must act on, we think a powerful and practical way of doing so is putting the voice of the social actors themselves in the center of attention, let them be the ones who address society and humanize a reality that it's been keeping away from us. WITH YOUR OWN VOICE project, proposes to use participatory documentary creation as a development tool through educational, cultural and artistic components. We believe that through audiovisual work, we can generate spaces for discussion and refection of collective memory, rescue of individual and group identity, of personal expression in various forms. The documentary is the driving force of social change and through the dynamics of participatory work, we intend to hear the different voices of those who participate. WITH YOUR OWN VOICE: Study visit, will be the first step to make this project a reality, by doing this visit, the different members and collaborators will meet up in person for the first time, in order to, not only learn from the good practices of IASIS NGO, but to design together the project, thinking on the specific needs of their beneficiaries, and the best way possible to approach the different issues that they encounter. Our objectives are: 1. TO GENERATE A WORKING GROUP composed by the different members and collaborators we have at this point in the project. 2. TO GET TO KNOW THE GOOD PRACTICE OF IASIS, that has been working on Greece since 2005, doing different projects based on the well being of refugees and asylum seekers. 3. TO DESIGN STRATEGIES AND ACTIVITIES adapted to the needs and realities of the beneficiaries of IASIS. 4. DEVELOP THE WITH YOUR OWN VOICE DRAFT PROJECT, in order to move forward on the necessary steps to make possible this project. 4. TO REPORT ON ERASMUS + OPPORTUNITIES and see the possibilities on applying for a KA 2 on 2021
