Objectives

The "Clime-Out" project was born out of the motivation of a group of young people willing to reflect on the climate emergency and the impact of human activity on the environment. The group with which this project was designed and formulated was interested in learning, sharing and comparing situations and measures concerning the protection and care of the environment with young people from different backgrounds. The idea was born out of this main interest in the climate emergency, considering young people as agents of change. Therefore, the main objective of the project was to generate an experience of reflection for the young participants on sustainability and the environmental problems that our society has to face. The specific objectives that were agreed are: *To raise public awareness of the environmental impact of their daily activities. *To raise awareness of the environmental impact and repercussions of human activity in our geographical area. *To reflect and work on different ways in which to reduce the negative impact of our activity. *To transmit the current environmental problems through culture and ecological art. *To promote communication and citizen participation in the defence of nature and sustainable development. *Encourage youth commitment in favour of the protection and conservation of the environment. It is true that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a long time has passed since the project was formulated until it has been carried out. Throughout this time, work has been carried out with the group of young people who came up with the idea for this project, and as this work progressed, the group's interest in exploring beyond the environmental protection measures applied in each country increased. The young people wanted to explore what their territories, cities, towns, villages, etc. would be like in the future, visualising it in a more sustainable way. Therefore, through this meeting we not only focused on reflecting on the environmental impact of human activity, but also encouraged young people to think about what the spaces they live in were like in the past, how they are now, and what they would like them to be in the future. The main objective during these days was to encourage youth commitment and promote their participation in reclaiming the cities they want to live in, always with the environment as the backbone.
