Objectives

'PLAY theatre' intended to link 6 European partners to share, create and experience new tools for the non-formal education of young people and children through theatre and performing arts. At ON&OFF, the use of theatre in youth work is an ideal tool for learning and acquiring skills. Theatre provides young people with a new form of expression, in which they feel much more comfortable and secure, compared to formal education, which on several occasions makes them feel invaded and exposed. Therefore, the main objective of the project was to invite European partners to enjoy the experience that ON&OFF has, to learn new methods to use with young people and to share, at the same time, their own methods and activities with the rest. Among the secondary objectives we find: - To share good practices, experiences, points of view, etc. between all associated entities. - To start an open conversation with youth workers with the aim of finding out what the needs of young people are today and how to meet them through theatre. - Creative work, playing (as the name of the project indicates) and experimenting to find and create new methods within youth work. - Linking European entities with similar youth work methods. - To establish the first pillar for possible future projects between the associated entities. - To publicise the wide range of opportunities that the Erasmus + programme offers European citizens.
