The training course for Youth Workers "Youth Centres - Models of Participation and management” is the result of this mapping of needs of youth workers among the partner organisations, the stance towards more participatory and inclusive youth centres and the experience of each partner and aims to increase the competencies of Youth Workers to encourage, capacitate and connect with youngsters and supporting them in finding, building and taking part in meaningful and effective forms of youth participation in youth spaces and, as a result, also in their communities. We believe that Youth Workers are the ones who can, more closely, improve, empower and encourage youngsters by providing safe environments for young people to take part in effective and meaningful transformation, increasing their sense of belonging and active citizenship, using youth centres as melting points to generate ideas, looking for support and as references and models to create a positive impact in young people's lives. Therefore it is important to provide youth workers with the tools, awareness and increased competencies allowing them to reach and involve young people and to more effectively manage youth centres having in mind the different core areas (youth participation, staff, services and activities provided and well as the local network). Youth Workers require an improvement in their competences in communicating effectively with youngsters and support them and increase their engagement by recognizing their importance and role. It's essential to deeply understand our purpose, with/to whom we work and their needs and interests. The training will focus on training on competencies of advanced youth participation and youth work skills in youth centres. The partners all have different competencies in the fields that will be shared and discussed. The objectives of this course are: 1. To develop competencies in co-creation, advanced youth participation and youth work skills in youth centres 2. Develop an understanding of quality youth work integral with European youth work values. 3. To create youth work support system for quality international youth work. 4. To create space for the cooperation of participants and ensure the quality of future Erasmus + projects through developing a common understanding of Youth project quality criteria: non-formal education, intercultural learning, active participation and etc. 5. Share various methodologies used in youth worker training programs.
