In this project we wanted to take advantage of the power of the word to deal with the issues that concern us as citizens of the European Union through experimentation and poetic action: sexism, racism, inequality, global warming and a long etcetera. For this we used literary and graphic creation techniques to create audiovisual, written and graphic material with which we can transmit our message. During the last four years we have had the opportunity to meet many young writers, poets and creators of graphic material in poetry and self-editing events in Granada city, who use art as a form of social complaint and active citizen participation. In this circle of young people the idea of this youth exchange was born with the theme "Words for change" to be able to share their ideas, experiences and creations with young people in other European countries. Through art they wanted to share their reflections on social issues and learn about the realities, experiences and thoughts of young people who live in other socio-cultural contexts in order to fight together in favor of equality, free expression, tolerance. and another more respectful relationship with the natural and socio-cultural environment that surrounds us. We have a participant with cognitive-intellectual diversity (although originally we envisaged that two persons would participate), resident in the family home of the Franciscans de la Cruz Blanca in Granada, who had previously attended a youth exchange. In addition to offering personal development alternatives to this participant, with their assistance we tried to create a climate that would allow us not only to reflect on inclusion, but to apply it in a practical way, creating a socioculturally diverse environment in every way. The general objective of this project was to promote the exchange of experiences and reflection on social issues with current relevance for European citizenship such as racism, inequalities or global warming among young people from different European countries through literary art and graphic creation. The youth exchange was a space to experiment with the transformative possibilities of artistic creativity through individual and group dynamics in which participation, expression and constructive criticism were encouraged. Another fundamental objective was to create a network of young people and youth initiatives at the European level that use poetry and literary expression, graphic or audiovisual creation as tools for youth participation with the aim of strengthening the values of community and cooperation that represent the European Union. Finally, with the celebration of a public event, we tried to energize the sociocultural life of Trasmula and bring both art and cultural diversity and European values to the rural environment.
