Objectives

Objectives of the project were organizing sport and wellbeing days for kids, and integrate them better into society, with help of different kind of team activities and games. Plan was to organize activities in the small villages around Inari (Kaamanen, Sevettijärvi, Riutula). Activities would be arranged in Sami language if there would be Sami speaking kids involved. The first target of project was bringing equality among people who want to have hobbies in their own village, with help of team sport. Second target is to integrate people into society. People who live in the villages and in the center don´t necessarily know each other, and that´s why they have much kind of stereotypes of each other. Bringing those people together and help them to get to know each other better with nice games and team-building activities, we can reduce their prejudices. Third target was carrying out survey during the event about finding active youngsters who could arrange common meeting points in villages. Fourth target was enabling the participation in Erasmus+ action also for people less than 13 years old, and start “coaching” them for the future projects. Slowness of the development of Erasmus+-projects in Inari can be partly explained by youngsters´ young age. With help of this project, they can take part in activities although they are under 13. So that when they are old enough, it´s easier to involve them into becoming projects. Aim was to inform youngsters about Erasmus+, and challenge them to think and suggest us the ways how they could for example take part in our International club. Other learning objectives were - Bringing together youngster groups from different countries - Improving various skills, like communication skills, team working skills, time management and organizational skills, presentation skills, initiativity, creativity etc. - Improving language skills - Exchanging knowledge and examples of good practices in an international youngster groups - Improving understanding of different cultures and cultural knowledge
