Objectives

Nowadays just EU is home to over 33 million people born outside the EU. In addition, there are more than 17 million citizens who migrated within the EU. On the other side, the conflicts in the Middle East which still doesn't seem to stop are forcing the people to seek safety in EU as refugees. According to UNHCR, there are over5.5 million Syrian refugees registered who are displaced because of the Syrian crisis. The coronavirus pandemic is going to force many unemployed people to be economic migrants seeking for job opportunities abroad or in other cities. Today, one of the most important problems faced by the refugees living in other countries is isolation and lack of access to education. In total, Human Rights Watch indicates in its report that there are 3 000 0000 Syrian children who cannot go to school. The current EU politics in practice are giving little consideration to their vulnerabilities and needs as children. Even the EU Turkey Agreement clearly says that “due account must be paid to the situation of vulnerable groups, in particular, unaccompanied minors for whom all decisions must be in their best interests”. Still many end up without the humane treatment and are again encouraged to leave Turkey and try to enter in EU which is often blocked by the EU countries and nowadays completely blocked by the lockdown forced by the coronavirus pandemic. Many migrant and refugee young people face trauma and cultural shock caused by the obstacles to accessing education, lack of acceptance, affection, participation, language understanding etc. The current lockdown and lack of social contacts is causing even more stress to them since they can't do the usual activities or at least hang out with the closest friends. Not everyone is able to access online education and definetely most young people are not used to. The current situation can be improved by learning non-formal methods and pedagogical approaches which will be implemented directly by the youth workers who are working with young refugees and migrants on a daily basis with them. We believe that the best way for their inclusion is engaging them in various non-formal and experiential learning settings, where by interactive activities they will socialize with other young people, learn new things (including the language of the country) increase their social skills and open up for new life experiences which will help them grow as a healthy human beings. Many researches have shown that if people have positive and enriching cultural experience than they are more likely to embrace diversity. That's why training the youth workers on cultural topics and increasing their cultural sensitivity is very important for them in order to create a learning spaces which will decrease the prejudices, stereotypes, stress and frustrations of the young people. Therefore in cooperation with our international partners we designed the project "Let Everyone Inside". Because we can have real progress only when everyone is involved and engaged in the society. Overall aim: Improving competencies and bringing creative non- formal experiential learning methods and pedagogical approaches among the youth workers for inclusion of young migrants and refugees. Objectives: - To improve the competencies of the youth workers for directly working on field with young migrants and refugees. -To improve the knowledge and skills of the youth workers on how to stimulate increasing the equity, solidarity, support and respect of the basic Human Rights principles by the local communities to the young refugees and migrants -To involve the youth workers in experiencing existing and alternative methods and tools for intercultural education in youth work. - To equip 33 youth workers with creative and innovative non-formal and experiential learning methods, pedagogical approaches, and tools for facilitating educational activities with young migrants and refugees. - To improve the competencies of the youth workers for directly working on field with young migrants and refugees. - To increase the international cooperation and initiate common projects among the youth workers involved in working with young migrants and refugees. - To increase the capacities of the participating organizations for working with young migrants and refugees. - To learn how and prepare new innovative projects for decreasing the problems of the migrants and refugees. - To stimulate motivation and improve the competences among the youth workers in order to contribute for increasing the involvement of the young migrants and refugees in the social life and integration in the society. - Increasing the knowledge about the current Erasmus+ and other European opportunities for learning and cooperation. We believe that after this project we will have many more competent youth workers who will be properly empowered and equipped with relevant knowledge, tools and approaches to provide opportunities for the young migrants and refugees.
