Young people from Algeria, Morocco, France, Portugal, the Netherlands and Germany work together for a week on the theme of migration and contribute to Radio Méditerranée. The media are constantly talking about migrants arriving in Europe; this project proposes to change the point of view and look towards the Mediterranean: to question the fact of migration and the lives of migrants in the partner countries. The young people produce a range of media based on their interviews and research. Through radio, articles, photos, videos and drawings, these young journalists and/or committed citizens try to bring another point of view to this important issue in Europe, Africa and the Mediterranean. Radio Méditerranée is coordinated by Schoolclash (Germany), Maroc Art'chimiste (Morocco), Graine de Paix (Algeria), Associação Faísca Voadora (Portugal), Stitching Schoolclash (Netherlands) and Peuple et Culture (France). The main aim of Radio Méditerranée is to give young people an idea of the migration situation in the town where the exchange is taking place, and to construct a counter-narrative to combat the negative discourse on migration. To do this, the exchange enables young people to meet and discuss the migration realities of each country represented, and above all to use the city as a laboratory. What is the situation in the city? What happens to migrants or refugees when they arrive in Marseille or Berlin? To achieve this objective, we defined the following specific aims: - To find out about the realities on the ground and talk to migrants about their situation in France and Germany - To improve young people's understanding and critical thinking on the subject of migration. - Develop a counter-narrative to combat prejudices about migration
