Respect for nature is recognized as one of the fundamental values in the UN Millennium Declaration. The main goal of our project “Force of Nature” was to develop respect for nature and form an ecological culture, spirituality, the consciousness of young people. The ecological culture of any person, the state is a component in the system of world environmental policy and all spheres of life. It is recognized also that the lack of spirituality and ecological culture restrains the transition to the constant development and resolution of the most acute environmental problems of humankind and civilizations. The most important thing in this field is education. At our exchange young people knew what ecology is, understood the issue of sustainable development and care of the planet in order to become a person with responsibility related to the issue of nature protection, knew how the level of awareness affects the pollution of the environment. To instill love and respect for nature among the participants was one of the main objectives set by us on the project. Along with this, our project achieved the following objectives: - We taught young people to save water, do not pollute the atmosphere, save energy, collect waste separately, give a second life to used objects. - We formated the participant's interest in saving the natural environment, avoiding the pollution of nature. - We developed interpersonal communication skills, individual and collective creativity, etc. - We educated moral and spiritually rich qualities among young people. - We cultivated a respectful attitude to nature. - We helped in the development of analytical and critical thinking skills of young people. - We organized a platform for the exchange of ecological knowledge and experience among participants and experts during the youth project. The youth exchange “Force of Nature” created by NGO "Association Culture Sports Et Sante Messine" and partners was dedicated to the topic of ecology and environment and will took place near Metz, France. The project gathered participants from 5 countries: Poland, Slovakia, Turkey, France, and North Macedonia. We raised the reflections among young people on the general objectives and important features of the Erasmus+ program. The program of the project was developed to reach all the mentioned objectives of the exchange. This was done by involving young people in the forms of activities and exercises from SALTO, non-formal education methods, and activities suggested by the participants themselves. All the above-mentioned objectives were reached through the using of such workshops and activities as, “Little Ways & Big Ways of Engaging with Nature”, “Recycled Bird Feeders”, “Sensual Awareness Activity”, “Natural Orchestra”, “Climate Change”, “Chemistry of Earth. Recycling” and others.
