Objectives

The present project addresses a problem of considerable matter at present among young people, which is violent extremism and radicalization. This project aimed to raise awareness about the negative consequences of violent extremism and radicalization among young people through promoting the sense of tolerance and values as respect for human rights and inclusion of those from marginalized groups. The project followed our work of intervention in the area through our close collaboration with local actors and youth from local Reunionese community. We proposed as objectives: O1. Prevent violent radicalization phenomena by using youth information for building a respectful and progressive multicultural society. O2. Strengthening 30 young people’s resilience to violent radicalization during 9 days of activities by developing their critical thinking and helping them recognize the importance of the European values such as tolerance, freedom and non- discrimination. O3. Empowering 30 young people from 5 countries to have a greater degree of autonomy, self-determination and control over their lives, ensure their voices are heard, in this way preventing extremism and violent radicalization during 9 days of activities.
