The main goal of the project was equipping youth workers with knowledge, skills, methods, models, and tools they will have during crises in their organizations to solve the problem as quickly and painlessly as possible and continue regular work or further guide it to success. Specific objectives: - development of its crisis plan for resolving crises of youth organizations, - developed and strengthened problem-solving skills and creative and critical thinking, - developed and strengthened skills of planning, management, and organization, - efficiency within teamwork, - methods and tools for adapting work with young people in difficult conditions (remote work), - encouraging active citizenship, - promotion of the European Union and the Erasmus + program and motivation for active participation in them, with emphasis on acquiring the necessary skills and knowledge for timely reactions and response to current problems in society and within organizations, - sharing experiences and examples of good practice related to the project topic and creating a basis for future cooperation. The main goal of the project "Who you gonna call? Youth workers" was to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of youth workers to faster, more stable, and more successful crisis management within their organizations. Although the main motivation for the implementation of this project was the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, any form of crisis (economic, political, social, disaster caused by natural disasters, the crisis at the individual level) significantly affects the quality of the organization. The project idea began to develop on the main activities of the project "Learn from the past, build the future!", which the Independent Youth Association in cooperation with five other partner organizations implemented in March 2020, when restrictive measures began to be implemented with regarding the coronavirus. That threatened the implementation of the project itself, the safety of the participants, and their return to their homes. Then was realized the need for a plan or model for overcoming a crisis and for professional staff with appropriate knowledge, skills, and competencies for crisis management. According to various studies, there are not enough educated people within the civic organizations, especially within youth organizations, to manage the crisis. Moreover, crises are managed only when they occur, without concrete plans, models, and strategies for overcoming crises. Problems of crisis management are more numerous and diverse in the modern world and the lack of appropriate knowledge about crisis management affects the blockages in the work of organizations, so raising preparedness to respond to crises to a higher level is more than necessary. The implementation of the project sought to achieve several specific goals that would meet the need to equip youth organizations with educated human resources to overcome the crisis. Namely, the participants shared their experiences of dealing with crises within their organizations, got acquainted with crisis theory, crisis management, and crisis communication, during all activities recognized the importance of teamwork and dependence on the team in crises, and worked on a plan for crisis management within youth organizations. The project sought to achieve an additional goal of knowledge transfer within partner organizations, ie project participants were obliged to transfer their knowledge and experience from the project to members of their organizations to create crisis plans tailored to their needs and capabilities. As part of various exercises and workshops during the main activities of the project, participants improved their planning, management, and organization skills and worked on developing their critical thinking. They also designed several methods and tools for adapting work with young people in difficult conditions. Participants were encouraged to engage in local communities, creativity, and innovation, and those with insufficient experience within the Erasmus + program were motivated to further mobility for non-formal and informal learning.
