The aim of the project was to strengthen the capacity of youth workers and their organizations in their work with young people by increasing the quality of training courses in the youth field (especially in the frame of Erasmus+) by implementing a two-step training for trainers cycle, that summarizes the experiences and expertise gathered by Egyesek and its partners in the past 15+ years. Upon the creation of the project, there was a clear need from many of the partner organizations (including Egyesek, as well) to increase their own capacities when it comes to non-formal education and Erasmus + projects and to support a new generation of professional youth trainers and facilitators in their journey of being able to deliver high-quality educational programs and processes. We wanted to create a unique learning opportunity where youth work professionals can go beyond the basic knowledge, skills, and attitudes of non-formal education, and level up their work to become youth professionals able to support a wide variety of young people from local to international level. At the core of our approach are the holistic and embodied aspects of education - understanding not just tools and methods available, but also the interconnectedness between these, and how a variety of approaches can intensify the learning experience of individuals and groups. In addition to introducing the models, the embodied aspect also means for us to create many opportunities for our participants to put into practice their gained skills and knowledge. Objectives of the project were: - to improve key competencies of youth workers and trainers in the youth field working mostly with groups; - to foster updates, improvements, and innovation of non-formal education in youth work; - to support having a greater understanding of interconnections between different elements of non-formal education; - to provide tools and options to define their own styles with their strengths and weaknesses; - to develop skills and attitude towards flexibility towards the ability to react in unexpected situations especially, to handle crises; - to support the embodiment of the gained knowledge; - to increase the motivation of trainers and youth workers; - to create mobilities of professionals in youth work and Erasmus+ cooperations. This was the second project with this aim, after a very successful Erasmus + project called Key(s) For Change. Our goal was furthermore to improve this training for trainers cycle, and to make it even more effective and useful for the participants, building also on the experiences of the first, pilot project.
