The CLUE - games for inclusion Youth Exchange project was focusing on developing the competences of young people mainly with fewer opportunities, especially those connected with cultural and social sensibility. The aim of the project was to foster the inclusion in European societies through straightened competences of young people by engaging and empowering them to become responsible citizens through enhanced skills and understanding of such important values than diversity, tolerance and multiculturalism. The project was build upon the need European societies and mainly the rural youth with fewer opportunities we aimed to reach to improve tolearance and acceptance in their communities. Young people, disadvantage youth, minority groups, people with special learning needs cannot be easily reached and developed and they are not able to become an active member of societies. During our projects and activities we realised that the young people we work with are disengaged from their communities and they are not taking responsibility for finding solutions to the problems they face, mainly after the period of COVID this project concluded. After Covid there was a huge need for young people to be more empowered to realise that they have to take active part in the life of their communities and societies in order to reach social inclusion. Therefore we built this project on this newly realised problems in rural communities and we aimed to include young people facing fewer opportunities from the age 14-20. The project follows these specific objectives: - to gain a broader understanding of diversity in societies and the importance of social inclusion; - to explore and analyse how social inclusion is present in different European societies and cultures; - to share good practices to be implemented in local communities to promote the importance of diversity, tolerance, acceptance and inclusion; - to understand young people’s personal role in the creation of social inclusion; - to experience intercultural learning, discover cultural diversity and improve young people’s social skills and competences; - to use games, as non-formal educational tools to promote and increase social inclusion in Europe; - to understand and experience how games and gamification can support the increase of social inclusion. With this Youth Exchange we aimed to make a significant positive impact on young people’s lives by developing their competences using non-formal learning methods to improve their skills and the conscious use of games in order to reach active participation and inclusion.
