Objectives

The participating countries of the youth exchange were Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Romania and Serbia. We are all neighbors with many similarities and with at least as many cultural differences. At the youth exchange, we focused on getting to know each other, common and universal human and European values. Good neighborly relations are based on a deeper knowledge, understanding and acceptance of each other. The goal of our youth exchange was to discover our common intellectual, cultural and historical background, thereby getting to know and accept each other better. We also considered it important to contribute to the establishment of international relations and the strengthening of relations between neighboring countries. We are planning further collaborations with the participating partner organizations. During the youth exchange, we developed the competencies of young people, emphasizing the importance of self-confidence, which also included the ability of young people to independently define and achieve their goals, to understand themselves from the perspective of others, and to understand others from their own perspective as well. The youth exchange also emphasized the development of the key competencies of young people with fewer opportunities. We also aimed to focus on social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, solidarity, non-formal learning, and developing the skills and competencies of youth workers. The cooperation of organizations was also realized, thus laying the foundation for even more high-quality youth work in the future.
