Objectives

This project aimed to train social leaders (youth workers, teachers, trainers, educators, etc.) to spread, through them, the awareness of the importance of conflict management, mediation between different opinions, negotiation and critical thinking as tools for conscious participation in the life of one's community, local and global among young Europeans The project wanted to create a collaboration with colleagues from other European countries to work together on our knowledge, skills, attitudes on the topic of conflict management using a non-formal educational tool that we have designed, so that it can become a common heritage in our daily practice as educators. The experience accumulated over the years, together with the scientific basis offered by the research data, convinced us of the opportunity to work on an international project that could provide our partners with the opportunity to expand previous skills and acquire new management tools, conflict and mediation between different opinions, active listening and critical thinking. Working with the younger generations and always keeping an eye on the topicality of international issues, has given life to this educational tool whose purpose is to simulate a negotiation table between different actors for the resolution of an international humanitarian dispute. All this, in our opinion, was part of the objectives of the Erasmus program and responded to the growing need to train the new generations to face the contemporary world and the complexity of the challenges it entails. As educators, we believe that our project has had the task of offering the new generations, starting with those with whom the participants work side by side, all the non-formal educational tools to build global citizenship.
