The Youth Exchange “Shape Inclusion: NO barriers, NO borders” was promoted by Forza D’Agrò Municipality and it has been held in Forza D’Agrò (Italy) in the field of the KA1. It gathered young people from different European Countries, Italy, Spain, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Slovakia. Each country has been represented by 5 participants and 1 Group Leader. The venue was in Forza D’Agrò (Italy) from 21 to 27 October 2022. There was an Advance Planning Visit in order to discuss with a group leader of each partner’s organization all logistic and organizational details of the Youth Exchange. The APV has been organized in webinar way on 18 September 2022. During the Youth Exchange the participants had the chance to work and spend time together, to learn about each other’s background, to share and to break down personal and cultural barriers. The topic of the project was based on current topics related to migration and reception policies with particular reference to the inclusion of young people with a migratory background and reflecting together on ongoing humanitarian issues. The city administration of FDA, despite being faced with the emergency linked to the pandemic, has decided to follow up on youth requests and promote the youth exchange with the cooperation with the youth of the towns. During the last 2 years Coronavirus has catalyzed everyone's attention especially in relation to the inclusion of marginalized people as migrants, that in the pandemic stay in a condition of invisibility. The objectives of the project were to reflect on: - Analyze the social effects of COVID-19 in the various European regions, considering both those caused by the health emergency and the consequent block; - Promote and share good practices already implemented by participating organizations at local level; - Strengthen cooperation and networking between youth organizations in Europe, implementing and experimenting common and innovative practices with young people to face new social challenges; - Increase youth skills in the field of inclusion of young people with migratory backgrounds; - Help young people to be proactive and active protagonists, promoting their participation in democratic life, making them aware of the many opportunities that European citizenship provides and bringing them closer to the European institutions; - To develop the feeling of belonging to the EU in young people, so that by sharing common values and exchanging experiences, they can learn and enrich themselves from their cultural diversity, - Promote and support dialogue and intercultural understanding, will become an extraordinary tool for social intervention and for building an inclusive, tolerant and promoter of welcoming values.
