This project aimed at providing young people with the opportunity to be more connected with the environment through practising social responsibility regarding current environmental issues, such as measures they can adopt to lower their personal carbon footprint; and through participation in activities that focus and cater to current global issues such as: conscious consumerism; vegetarian and vegan diets; sustainable development; slow food and foraging. This project provided a creative and empowering environment for people who wanted to share their knowledge, learn, and give something back to the community. Specific goals: Objective 1: to learn more about current environmental issues like climate change, as well as how they can make an impact in their everyday lives. Objective 2: another important aim of the project was for the participants to improve their digital skills, by creating, shooting, and editing a video together and by creating daily social media posts that were meant to increase the visibility of the project and of the Erasmus+ programme Objective 3: improve their media literacy and critical thinking, by understanding the impact of media on our society and learning how to do efficient research and spot fake news Objective 4: to promote the values of tolerance, equality, acceptance, justice, freedom and respect for human life and nature by learning about other cultures, breaking stereotypes and living an experience that makes them feel a part of a European community. Objective 5: by working in an international environment, we want to encourage participants to build partnerships and get more involved in youth mobility actions, by giving them the time and tools to brainstorm together about future mobility projects they would like to organise, depending on their mutual interests. Objective 6: to promote young people’s drive for initiative and entrepreneurship, and encourage them to become more active citizens. They will get more knowledge about youth mobility, Erasmus+ and Youthpass, in order to be aware of their opportunities as European youth, and be motivated to take part in future mobility projects.
