NS is a cultural exchange that through moments of meeting, dialogue, sharing, reflection, manual skills, creativity and the use of the senses functional to an emotional-empathic growth led us to the discovery of nature, foods, places, sounds and smells that surround and define us. Within this framework we developed-stimulated-strengthened personal and collective skills concerning the different aspects of the person belonging to the personal sphere Of the self: relational, emotional, cognitive, affective, work. Natural Sense was born as a follow up of Non Solo cibo (funded by the region of Sicily) and Can be Fair, projects in which the through the senses, food and manual skills, we created moments of mutual knowledge and exchange of cultures, at the base there is the desire to respond to the requests of participants and partners and their needs. With NS we created a moment of encounter where the young person rediscovered himself and the nature around him, not only through the senses but also through the development of critical thinking, achieving greater personal confidence. We empowered the participants to be able to create their own comfort zone, not only within the 'project but also in the world, thanks to meeting young people from other back-grounds and still belonging to the meedia generation, who have somehow lost touch with traditions, with the production of things (food, manufactures, soaps, objects, etc.). We responded to the need of young people (Able and with different abilities) to be listened to and understood, valued, giving them and us the opportunity to get away from the daily rhythms, living immersed in contact with nature, changing the perception of time, rhythm etc. NS was conceived by the partners in various stages, and with the desire to create a meeting time where in addition to getting to know each other we could work on the emotional-affective-personal growth of young people, which is fundamental for their emancipation, a goal that fully meets the needs of the partners. At the same time we want to work on the development of experiences and skills related to nature, the environment and manufacturing, expendable both personally and professionally inside and outside the associations (*of the partners). With NS we have created a moment of meeting and intercultural functional to the future creation of other similar projects, with a view to implement improvements, innovation and the growth of our groups, creating stable relationships over time and E+ projects of higher and higher quality and innovation, an example of this is the Romanian association (DOWN active Moldova) that thanks to this partnership has begun to design and see their projects approved even in the long term. Through NS we have responded to various needs of our participants including: - giving them the opportunity to experience through a different use of the senses, and to develop their own model and point of view, - to socialize while also enriching their language baggage (and also practicing English), - to be able to express and represent themselves through their own language, to gain experience in creating and running workshops and self-expression. GOALS Achieved: - Personal and collective growth and development through non-formal education activities, peer exchange, and knowledge of nature, senses, and natural resources functional for creating experience in the young person. - Personal and group growth through doing and experiencing and discovering the senses, a goal that was achieved through hands-on activities based on different educational methodologies, R.Stainer and B. Munari: development of creative thinking, creativity and openness of sensations, and Experiential and Peer Education (Kolb), belonging to the sphere of non-formal Education techniques. The specific and general objectives of the project match the E+ objectives in fact upon achieving them, we achieved those of the program. NS had as a general objective the improvement of the young person's activities and the support of active citizenship in the sphere of European mobility and the passage of expendable skills in the local, national, European labor market and creation of sustainable entrepreneurship and conscious use of Meedia. With NS we have improved the level of key competencies and skills of young people, above all those with fewer opportunities, we have filled the specific and general needs of participants (job creation, development of soft skills, knowledge of nature, perception of time and rhythms, attention and care for each other) that have come to us and continue to come through our collaborations with partners. NS is an exchange that supported the personal and professional growth of young people through the use of specific themes such as environment and sustainability, resources and making through moments of sharing, reflection and workshops, organized in both small and large groups.
