Objectives

Nowadays people, especially youngsters, are connected to each other everywhere and anytime thanks to the network. Although this phenomenon undoubtedly has a lot of positive aspects, such as access to real-time information and the ease of interaction with physically distant people, it can lead young people to a more sedentary lifestyle and to a weaker health. What actually end up missing is physical activity and the connection with nature, replaced by the user-cellular and/or usercomputer relationship. On the other hand, Europe presents a very rich natural heritage by extension and variety, making a habitat for many species of flora and fauna which, properly protected and valued, can also represent important economic resources and foster sustainable development. The main objective of this exchange is to encourage young people from Italy, Bulgaria, Greece, Latvia and Spain to embrace a healthy lifestyle, reconnect with nature and stimulate environmental awareness by using outdoor activities and non-formal education methods. It is therefore necessary to know these peculiarities and acquire an awareness that can positively affect the consciences of people, especially the youngest, to preserve and give value to these environments. Stimulating the connection of young people with nature can help to change their lifestyles for the better and inspire them to have a positive impact in society. The defined objectives are in line with the Erasmus+ programme and the specific key action 1 and can be summarized as follows: - Stimulate physical activity and healthy lifestyle among young people - Raise awareness on environmental issues and sustainable development - Take into account the possible implications and consequences of the COVID-19 emergency on environmental impact and personal lifestyles - Stimulate problem solving and critical thinking, focusing on the importance of environmental protection - Encourage teamwork, develop self-esteem and personal development of participants, especially with fewer opportunities - Promote intercultural dialogue and social inclusion of young people and leaders - Encourage recognition of non-formal and informal learning - Strengthen cooperation between partner organizations - To inform about Erasmus+ opportunities and advantages
