The project developed in a particular context, i.e. within the Ariano International Film Festival. Raimondo Cocca is the organizing association of the "Ariano International Film Festival" - AIFF - which takes place (since 10 years) in Ariano Irpino (province of Avellino, in southern Italy). Area where the importance of cinema, and of the arts in general in the social context, is significant. The realities of Ariano Irpino is a reality affected by youth depopulation especially in the cold months, but which during the numerous festivals and cultural events attracts a large number of people, especially young people. The general objective of the Festival is the enhancement of audiovisual art in all its expressions and styles through the screening of cinematographic works as entertainment, in its educational / scientific dimension and as an opportunity for discussion and mutual support between professionals. The specific objectives were: - support and promote European audiovisual works especially as means of communication and transmission of sensitive issues; - give the young participants new tools to create unity, value and integration through the entire sharing experience, especially with this profound health emergency and isolation that the whole world and each of us is experiencing, we realize even more how much the cinema, the use of communication platforms, videos and everything related to this area is important so as not to feel alone and when I can get closer despite the distance; - increase the interest and awareness of the public, especially young audiences, in the cinema and in particular in European films; - strengthen cooperation with national, European and international festivals. - give the opportunity to experience "other", and to transmit art as a strong means of unity. The Festival was characterized by various sections on a free theme: feature films, short films, animations, documentaries, school short films and 1 special section dedicated to the environment (AIFF GREEN) During the Festival, emphasis was also given to debates, seminars, masterclasses, and a series of collateral events such as the cosplay contest, It is precisely in this context that the Aiff - YE project was inserted. The motivation that prompted Raimondo Cocca -Rai.Co. to develop a youth mobility project was the awareness that some of the Festival's actions such as social and cultural development through cinematography and the audiovisual arts, improve awareness, disseminate and promote the fundamental values of the European Union and contribute and actively supporting youth participation, sustainable development, social dialogue and cooperation are in line with the achievement of the objectives proposed for this specific key of action, such as: -improvement of learning performance; - increased sense of initiative and entrepreneurship; - increased emancipation and self-esteem; - improvement of foreign language skills; - enhancing intercultural awareness; - more active participation in society; - improving awareness of the European project and EU values; - increased motivation to take part in future education or training (formal/non-formal) after the period of mobility abroad.
