The Opening your EU Outdoor (OpenEU) project combines the experience of L'Orma with that of other partners who share our same mission: this is why we decided to create an effective educational tool through the union of outdoor activities and coaching. Specifically, the program aims to provide a learning experience for youth leaders of organizations that use sports and outdoor activities as an educational tool, but want to deepen their knowledge and skills related to inclusion and coaching. This is because experience teaches us that our activities have a positive impact on the young people we work with, as we teach them the principle of collaboration and we encourage them to have confidence in themselves, to be curious and to love nature: for this we believed very much in the idea of OpenEU. In particular, "OpenEU" sets itself as objectives: • Sharing and developing methods of social inclusion through outdoor motor activities, educational activities and coaching , spreading outdoor activities culture; • Enhancing the skills of the participants through sharing experiences and good practices between partners about this specific topic; • Coaching pills for youth workers; • Create a safe and friendly sports environment where participants would feel included; • Development of approaches to overcome challenges such as disability, gender and migration; • Group management; • Discussion on the benefits of integration: methods of non-formal outdoor education and coaching in a formal education context and in other contexts; • Networking, which gives the opportunity for further development of participants and exchange of knowledge; • Sharing of results with future local and international partners, youth workers and stakeholders; • follow-up and how to integrate learning points into the work of organizations In recent years, L'ORMA has specialized in this sector, offering various activities (not only internationally), involving different targets. Outdoor activities, just like the learning from experiences method, can be adjusted to a variety of age groups and techniques. This versatility has stimulated L'ORMA to carry out several educational courses: • we introduce very small children to the world of physical activities and deal with sensory exploration; • in primary and secondary school, we deal with relational dynamics in an intense way adjusted to the competences of the group; • we organize team building events for adults, even for companies. We therefore believe that the outdoor experiential education approach is proven to be significant and useful for educators. This is why we opended the TC to all educators and our youth workers who work in our organization. Their presence had a huge impact on our organization in the activities they do with schools, summer camps for children and youth and training courses for teachers and trainers.
