The goal of the project was to create a more inclusive community, which included young people from different backgrounds and disabilities in one project. The objectives of the project were: raising awareness on the theme of the environment and climate change; Social entrepreneurship / social innovation; inclusion of people with disabilities and special needs. As for "environment and climate change": in both exchanges the theme was central: during "Open kitchen I" the participants experienced zero waste cooking, with the help of a chef specialized in the subject. During “Open kitchen II” the central theme of the exchange was “conscious food and sustainable kitchen”. Throughout the exchange, the participants cooked and consumed food at 0 km, procuring raw materials from local farmers and small local companies. Moreover, during the youth exchange attention was paid to the recycling of garbage, much attention was paid to the waste of water and electricity, trying, when possible, to cook outdoors. Regarding the topic "Social entrepreneurship / social innovation", during "Open kitchen I" the participants had the opportunity to visit Miesto Laboratorija, a social entrepreneurship company that works in the production of jams and includes people with disabilities as employees. In addition, the participants had the opportunity to work with young entrepreneurs who have already started their business in the field of universal design. During “Open kitchen II” the participants worked with a young photographer and had the opportunity to create new ideas for the Social restaurant in Antalieptė, which was a great inspiration for the participants. Regarding the topic of disability and special needs, participants with mental and physical disabilities or special needs were included in both youth exchanges and actively participated in the activities. Furthermore, the theme of universal design and inclusion was central to both exchanges, to raise awareness among participants of a more inclusive and tolerant society.
