The international youth project “Intro to Entrepreneurship” was held in Karpacz, Poland. The following countries - Luxembourg, Turkey, Slovakia, Poland, and Romania - took part in the exchange. This project was initiated by the active representatives of "Together Luxembourg". It united 40 participants from 5 European countries. The topic of this youth exchange was the employment problem for young people. Indeed, it is really a hot topic especially during the summer period of the year as many young people have temporary jobs during summertime and are unemployed again afterward. For 8 days, the participants discussed, debated, organized, and participated in many non-formal activities and workshops while trying to propose solutions for the youth employment issue. However, above all, this youth exchange was the opportunity for young Europeans to make a connection with people from other countries. They discovered new cultures, languages, and cuisine thanks to the organized intercultural and country evenings. They have broadeed their horizons; learned to be more open to differences and tolerant of each other. The overall objectives of the partner organization on this exchange were to: - Engage youth in exchange activities on the topic of unemployment, employability, entrepreneurship, and intercultural learning. - Promote better understanding by youth from the EU and Turkey about host society, people, institutions, values, and culture; - Foster lasting personal ties; - Engage the participants in activities that advance mutual understanding, respect for diversity, leadership skills, and understanding of civil society during their exchange experience; - Enhance Europeans’ understanding of other countries and cultures and increase an accurate understanding of European values in communities abroad.
