Objectives

We wanted to carry out this project, because we wanted to address the topic of employability of the youngsters, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic era with the new challenges it all brought, and we wanted to improve participants’ employment prospects with the use of non-formal education methods to improve their skills, knowledge and attitudes that will be useful to obtain employment and helping to achieve their goals regarding their professional development. During the course of the project we also widened the topic since the pandemic has chanhged a lot, also the labour market job opportunities at a global scale. Participants wanted to address issues regarding youth employment, career guidance and social security, thus we expected that this project will also have further effect on wider range of youngsters, as participants will share their experience with their peers. With this project we wanted to contribute to successful integration of NEET youngsters, as well as other youngsters in the labor market, thus also contributing to solving youth unemployment issues. We wanted to tackle the common European problem as youth unemployment rate is usually higher compared to average unemployment rate, what highlights the scope of this problem. And it is a fact, what was also affirmed during the project, that youngsters face the situation that it is hard to find a job after graduating from the school or university. Several studies show that youngsters have a higher risk of being excluded from the labor market, while Youngsters are a priority for the EU’s ET 2020 framework. So we wanted to take on the challenge to minimize such situations at least for some youngsters. The aim of this project was to improve youngsters’ employability prospects through non-formal learning and empowerment. Objectives of the project were: - Exchange of information and knowledge about labor market and its aspects; - Exchange of the best practices and creating new ideas on reducing youth unemployment; - Equipping youngsters with skills and knowledge necessary to apply for a job and to obtain employment; - Empowerment of youngsters by highlighting their advantages in the labor market; - Promotion of the Erasmus+ program.
