Unfortunately even in the 21st century we are facing so many situations where different groups of people are having different opportunities. That usually depends a lot from the geographical, economical and social background of every individual. But even every individual is having different chances in life which is also connected to their personal motivation, interests, experiences and encouragement which they got throughout their life. Every young person has many potentials to be the best in something and throughout that to find his/ her role in the society, but in order to do that many of them need a bit of motivation, guidance and support. Even though the rates of young unemployed people in many European countries were already high, the Economic Crisis which is caused by the Covid 19 pandemic will affect the young people the most, especially the ones with fewer opportunities. The crisis did not just affect many young people without a job for a quite long time but it increased their depression, dissatisfaction, anxiety and stress which can have negative consequences in the long term. Even the ones that have innovative and important ideas for the society which can be very profitable as well, they are insecure to start anything especially now and they need motivation and guidance how to design and launch them into successful businesses. Even now, during global depression there are businesses that are even more successful, that is mainly because they are essential for the existence of the people, innovative and are able to adopt themselves to the new reality. Due to the economic situation caused by the pandemic outbreak of COVID-19, many young people need motivation, guidance and support and improving of their competences in order to be ready for the job market as employees or employers (entrepreneurs). Young people who are engaged in programmes and activities of Youth NGO’s are very often much more motivated and skillful to cope with everyday life and achieve their personal and professional goals. Because the collage of non- formal methods and approaches that we are using combined with theoretical inputs are motivating the young people to be engaged, have team- work skills and leadership attitude. This is what the global economy of 21st-century workplace demands- people with transversal skills such as the ability to think critically, take initiative, problem solving and work collaboratively. These difficult times that we all face should make us think even more creatively, optimistically and sustainably in order to become even stronger and better as individuals and community. If we just analyze the Eco employment and sustainable energy field, we can see that there are so many opportunities and resources which are not used or not used properly. So if we are able to address them properly, they can create millions of opportunities for new employment on a global level which are going to contribute in protecting the nature and helping make our planet less polluted and more sustainable. Since our partner countries are facing similar situations, we believe that only by working together we can create sustainable solutions and improve the current and future situation of youth employment. Therefore our AIM was: Empowering the young people with relevant competencies in order to be successfully employed or/ and create sustainable opportunities for self employment. OBJECTIVES: - Gaining information about their opportunities for personal and professional development. - Equipping them with relevant competencies in order to be successful on the job market, both as employees and employers (entrepreneurs) - Gaining useful insights and motivation from successful businesses and entrepreneurs through field visits and analysis. - Gaining knowledge and skills how to follow all steps of the application process in order to be successfully employed. - Gaining knowledge and skills for planning and executing the main steps for initiating and running their own enterprise. - Acquiring competencies for being innovative and adaptive through pitching real business ideas on the field. - Increase the awareness and motivation of young people to invest in their education and leadership skills for better (self) employment. - Introduce the young people with different opportunities for implementing eco and sustainable businesses. In order to reach all of our objectives we applied many creative methods of non- formal education and experiential learning, visit successful enterprises, analyze study cases, have inspiring guests. The participants learnt how to research available job positions, make a good CV, motivation letter, prepare for an interview... be advised and motivated from successful entrepreneurs, create business and marketing plans, implement their small business ideas on the field, share successful stories and build teamwork and leadership spirit.
