The expression "Brain drain" refers to the migration of talented and skilled individuals in search of better professional and living conditions, it could mean inside the same country or abroad. Some volunteers of "Together We Are The Change" together with young leaders from partner organisations decided to carry out this project after having participated in some others exchanges of the Erasmus + mobility programme, where the phenomenon of Brain Drain emerged powerfully during the exchange of experiences with other youngsters. So after some brainstorming and debate sessions, this group of youngsters come to the conclusions, which are in pair with the EU indicators of migrant integration declared in Zaragoza in 2010 and Eurostat Datas that show the number of young people resident in different EU countries and where Romania, Poland, Italy and Greece are in the top of the list. Having this in mind we prepared the first draft of this YE and a facebook group, used as the work platform to continue to develop it and maximize the contribution of all the participants. All the partners agreed that for a proper understanding of the issue, we should focus on the cultural, economic and political aspects of this phenomenon. Thus, after an intense debate regarding the positive and negative implication of the Brain Drain among European countries, we identified several causes, considerable even needs of today society : - seeking better living conditions: poor conditions and low salaries in home countries sometimes can be a trigger for people to emigrate, many developing countries still have insufficient facilities, adequate sanitation, and infrastructures; - lack of political stability: a stable condition of politic means a predictable political environment, which encourages youth to run a business; - lack of opportunities: unemployment, the absence of meritocracy, difficulties in professional growth are big factors that push youngsters to leave their country; - accessibility of education: lack of logistic resources and government support in the field of education play a big role in encouraging the brain drain phenomenon; - personal preferences: professional ambitions and willingness to discover new countries leaving the familiar environment; - discrimination and cultural frictions: political, cultural identity or discrimination are still main triggers of migration. Keeping this in mind, all partners agreed to implement this YE in Poland. This is one of the European countries where the effects of this phenomenon are well visible and under the public eye, is one of the most representative lands of migration flows, nowadays and in the past. Moreover, the development of this project has been lead by our association, which gained an important recognition for the skills shown by its volunteers. The overall aims of the exchange are to contribute for raising awareness about brain drain, its effects, finding possible solutions, and promote a reverse brain drain, where the youngsters enriched by new skills and experiences acquired abroad, could spend them in their local community favoring a resurgence especially of rural areas. Because of this, we intend to implement our project not only for young people but also by young people, relying on non-formal educational methods and activities to achieve the following specific objectives: - To raise the awareness about Brain drain and migration issue through their own experiences, skills, beliefs, and specific activities; - To identify and share similarities & differences in different countries about the topic; - To increase the sense of initiative in the local community, especially in rural areas - To make participants realize their role as contributors (not just recipients of the social change) - To enhance communication and building career skills, in order to address youth unemployment; - To enhance the importance of teamwork in reaching a common vision; - To change from a passive mindset to positive and active one, focusing on to foster the creation of events into the local communities; - To give more visibility to the Erasmus+ mobility programme; - To create media professional outcomes in order to increase the visibility of the project. We planned all our activities to meet the main objectives of E+ programme and more precisely to reaching out marginalized young people, to promoting diversity, intercultural dialogue, values of freedom, tolerance, and respect of human rights using nonformal education methods
