European Union puts a lot of effort and financial resources in two areas - to make Europe a more friendly environment for young people and provide quality working places. The European Union wants to retain its leading role in the fight against climate change. Climate change creates elevated levels of uncertainty about our future and amid this uncertainty, one thing is certain. We will leave the Earth to our children, young people and future generations. We as a group of young people are increasingly aware of the challenges and opportunities that the necessary transition to low carbon growth entails, and many are joining the global dialogue on solutions, getting involved and taking action. As young people work across the globe to determine their future by acting on climate change, their actions inspire us all. "Green KIWI" Project is an youth initiative from Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Serbia. Project will be conducted in a way that will contribute to the process of non-formal learning. Through interactive workshops, games, debates, sports activities, excursions and free time activities will be moderated in this way we will try to achieve that 30 participants will learn about the importance of protecting the environment. it’s extremely important to adopt actions on addressing the climate change in such sectors as tourism, transport, construction and buildings, coastal zone management, biodiversity and health and take local actions on protection of the environment. On the other hand, many people in the continental Europe still do not feel the threat of global warming. We believe it’s extremely important to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable development, letting people feel on their own experience the possible consequences of global warming as well as take actions in protection of environment. We, the Youth from 6 European countries, have discussed and decided to initiate the youth exchange, where young people will be able to meet, learn about sustainable development and become more aware about individual ecological responsibility, by learning together, studying real life cases and experiencing the part of the Europe which very soon might face severe consequences of climate change and making action towards more responsible society. We believe that work by and for young people is a critical component of raising political ambition to reach a new, universal agreement on climate change. "Green KIWI" Project Objectives: to increase awareness about the environmental pollution level of the Earth To raise ecological awareness, promote respect towards the environment and discover our potential as active citizens To become multipliers and promoters of environmental dialogue, understand conflict management and promote cooperation to coordinate activities related to the proper use of resources to promote an eco-sustainable behavior and reflect on the impact individual contribution to more sustainable lifestyle might have To develop an understanding of the cycle of materials in the circular economy and learn to build self-production energy systems bases on open source knowledge To engage with the local school in the cleaning actions in the Tatra Mountains, Poland To organize an awareness-rising event in Zakopane, PL ( flash-mob) regarding the importance of environmental protection.
