Objectives

The consumer lifestyle of the inhabitants of the global North is obvious. We consume more and more, spending more and more money. One of the biggest elements of the world economy is the clothing industry. Fast Fashion is a way of consuming fashion that we are used to. One-season clothes that do not pay to be repaired, promotions reaching -90% of the initial price. In 2013, one of the factories focused on mass production of clothing and accessories collapsed in Bangladesh. Overloading the building with too many machines and employees, focused on the fastest and cheapest production possible, lack of compliance with safety and hygiene rules, hunger salaries and daily struggle for survival. This is the cost of each of our T-shirts from a popular chain store. To produce our clothing, which we buy in stores such as Zara or Adidas, 1,119 people were killed and another 2,000 were seriously injured. The clothing industry has become one of the most poisoning our natural environment, it also affects the fate of people. Our primary goal is to draw attention to the fact that our everyday consumer choices not only create the reality that surrounds us directly, but also affect the lives of other people around the world and our natural environment. We believe that by promoting positive attitudes and preparing ready-made solutions in a visually attractive form and promoting them using tools such as Instagram and Google Maps, we can realistically influence the awareness of our peers and make them reflect on their daily choices related to consuming primarily all fashion. In our activities we follow the slogan created as part of the Fashion Revolution movement, which will accompany us at every stage of our project, namely "Who Made My Clothes?".
