Objectives

The intention of the project, in line with the objectives of the Erasmus + Program Action 1. Educational Mobility Youth Exchange, was to engage and enable young people to become active citizens by solving local problems related to ecology and environmental protection. The expected goal of the project was to acquire and develop competences among young people that will serve them throughout their lives and in the future professional career. The project aimed to promote openness to European cooperation of young people. The project was aimed at explaining the essence of nature, as well as showing how we can act in our local communities to help protect the natural environment. The aim was also to create a sense of ecological awareness and responsibility for the future fate of the planet. Our intention was also to educate on the relationship between ecology and health. Together, we worked out ideas for social activities to protect the natural environment. Together, we created the so-called Green Book, as a result of our workshop and group work, containing a list of examples of pro-environmental activities in local communities, including Kruszwica. We have also developed a film and a multimedia presentation on the implementation of our project. The implementation of the project was an opportunity to learn about the cultural and philosophical diversity of people involved in the project, as well as indirectly related to it. Together, we overcame barriers, overcame internal resistance to become people open to the world. We promoted intercultural dialogue and we also learned to be European. The project provided an opportunity to experience international mobility in a safe group environment. We built relationships between project participants in order to smoothly implement the project assumptions. In accordance with the assumptions of non-formal education, we learned through joint activities, one from another, in an atmosphere of kindness and full commitment, through integration games, interactive workshops, actions, competitions, spending free time together. We also included people with fewer opportunities in the project, to give our peers an opportunity, regardless of their religious beliefs or place of residence (the project participants also included residents of villages and small towns, children from broken families, of different religious beliefs), personal development, testing their forces in action.
